       Something is definitely afoot; it seems the beginnings of a scenario are wholly underway… When setting a direction for a group (and “a group” can be entirely within your own person — as we are many different people in one) make sure you take time to consider where all personalities are aimed. It’s not just about you, it’s about the many; and keep expressing the mantra: “To lead is to serve.” “To lead is to serve!!”

This week we pulled the Two of Wands. This card points to a time of planning, not pre-planning, but actual planning. This is a critical moment — obviously all moments have their importance, but as it was stated in the Manual of Muad’Dib by the Princess Irulan: “A beginning is the time for taking the most delicate care that the balances are correct.” Planning is not dreaming — it is a type of getting things right.
        Our hexagram this week is #17, Following. There were no changes, so how we enter the week will be how we exit it (relatively speaking). Here we have a chief aphorism of the I Ching to lead is to serve. If you are trying to wrestle a team or group into an understanding or a way of conduct, it is wise that your leadership also be adaptive (not one sided). That is, leadership is a combinatory affair : burgeoning awareness + flexibility. This is what is meant by: “To lead is to serve.”
