Page of Wands (reversed)

6. Conflict
Petite Reading
We all desire control over our behavior but are constantly distracted by the appearance of variable incidence and thwarted by hardened coping strategies. It seems that if you want to advance and have more control, you have to be flexible in all directions.

This week we pulled the Page of Wands, reversed. When upright the card indicates that there is an intelligent spirit within, but it is prone to distraction. When the card is reversed these sidetracking qualities are exacerbated. Perhaps take some time to consider what may be monumentally diverting your intentions.
Our hexagram this week is #6, Conflict. (There were no changes — how we enter the week will relatively be how we exit it.) Conflict in life is inevitable, so vast are the combinations. How best is it handled? Well: “if a person is entangled in a conflict, their only salvation lies in being so clear–headed and inwardly strong that they are always ready to come to terms by meeting the opponent halfway. To carry on the conflict to the bitter end has evil effects even when one is the right, because the enmity is then perpetuated.”
