Four of Pentacles

35. Progress
50. The Caldron
Petite Reading
Struggle hard not to fall back into dark, hidden places — perform your endeavors out in the open. Be aware that harmony and strength eminate from flexibility.

This week we pulled the Four of Coins. This is the card of the miser. Miserliness is usually based in fearing a loss of control. Selfish control comes from fixity and real control comes from flexibility. Perhaps consider what you are holding on to and how it is holding you back.
Our first hexagram this week is #35, Progress. If you do something virtuous do it in the open air and stay there. The light of good work is not an avatar so as the true body can return to the dark to do dark things. A good work should be accompanied by those that did it — ultimately to learn how to successfully stay/live in the bright part of the work (which is not easy). There were two changes this week, the specific notes are: do not strive for independence over teamwork, partisanship over impartiality.
Our second hexagram, the one that suggests how best to meet the challenges (or the changes) is #50, The Caldron. The image here is that of a vessel that cooks/delivers nourishment to the masses, but the discussion, in true I Ching manner, centers around all that is necessary to make the enterprise happen: mainly the wood and fire below the caldron. Far reaching harmony, compromise, readiness and acceptance of fate are necessary for any nutritive foundation. Again: far reaching harmony, compromise, readiness and acceptance of fate!
