Petite Reading:
There is an ascendency of power with you or directly connected to you; but there is a lack of clarity that is giving the specific direction hesitation. Take time to discern the generative patterns of this power (the past) and then reflect on what your ultimate goals are. Hopefully this will bring the needed perspicuity.

This week we pulled the “The Hanged Man.” This card card represents a period of pause, of being in between. It is not entirely clear whether the hesitancy is willful or somewhat involuntary. This might indicate a time to have patience through a period of poor resolution.
Our first hexagram, which we partner with our tarot to describe (or further detail) the current situation, is #34, The Power of the Great. The discussion here is about rising power and a particularly vulnerable point of that trajectory. All power requires momentum; if the momentum of a polity (whether internal or of a body politic) loses touch with purpose and simply gets excited by its clearly mounting influence, its stability will become weak. Power is only as strong as its ability to constantly perform honest diagnostic maintenance on itself.
Our second hexagram, the one that suggests how best to meet the challenges (or the changes) is #54, The Marrying Maiden. Here the metaphor of new relations is invoked. It is said that a fresh association should not focus on upending long-standing structures but concentrate on trying to see the situation as a whole — through respectful and kind listening/learning. This modesty should not be merely deferential but be performed with sincere, long term, personal goals. Affection is the greatest tool on the road to long term happiness (with the self, with a partner, or with a project).
