This week we pulled the “Four of Cups.” This card points to an extant stubbornness and its ability to create destructive cycles. It warns to break the tendency of taking things for granted and encourages mellifluence with larger more positive patterns.
Our first hexagram, which we partner with our tarot to describe (or further detail) the current situation, is #57 “Sun/The Gentle (The Penetrating, Wind).“ This hexagram contained three changes; expect variations in vibration this week… For lasting nutritive effect to be achieved in any endeavor, an accord between parts needs to be organized. Within an organization (whether rhizomatic or top down) there are two main parts, the populace (carrier) and the overseer (method). For the populace it is said: “small strength can achieve its purpose only by subordinating itself to an eminent person who is capable of creating order.” For the overseer it is said: “Action without preparation… only frightens and repels.” There are three specific notices from our changes: too much sensitivity leads to indecisiveness; pursue resoluteness. Careful preparation is a magnet for good luck. Delving into the dark end of one’s personality is not recommended.
Our second hexagram, the one that suggests how best to meet the challenges (or the changes) is #11 “Peace.” This hexagram points to what you might think, a time of harmony. There is unity between all parts, the populace sees its effect in the overseer and the overseer sees itself as an arrival of the universal will of the populace.
Our extraction: Use a current moment of harmony to establish a new rhythm for your future; embrace fresh utility with a firmness of intent.
