This week we pulled the “Page of Swords” (In Aleister Crowley’s Thoth deck: the “Princess of Swords”). This card points to bright, continual and elastic energy (Youth!). It is a good period for something like burning the candle at both ends. Due to the illuminating aspect of the energy though, if you are a light and shade type, there may be few dark corners to compose in. It’s best to keep it upbeat right now.
Our first hexagram, which we partner with our tarot to describe (or further detail) the current situation, is #57, (The Penetrating, Wind). This is a continuance for us, as this was our second hexagram last week. We once again are presented with the advice of fostering (like the sun and wind) a ceaseless, penetrating and life-giving energy. However there are new specifics. The changes here, counsel for innate modesty and energetic action. And there is an alert to avoid using this penetrating energy to drudge up deeper problems.
Our second hexagram, the one that suggests how best to meet the challenges (or the changes) is #28, (Preponderance of the Great). This hexagram is one that comes with an unvarnished warning. There is something in your structure which is on the verge of collapse — address it or face the consequences.
Our extraction: There are clear warnings this period. One is don’t attempt an illumination of darkness, as it will cause setbacks. Then a direct message to attend to a situation on the verge of a breaking point, or difficulty will follow. And finally, advice to perform all your endeavors with a sunny and youthful energy. So we say, have a light touch this period, meet your labors with a sprightly spirit and if there are any outstanding circumstances, under some sort of pressure, take care of them.
