Queen of Wands (reversed)

36. Darkening of the Light
These first few lines are the general aphoristic returns for the week. They are raw and uninterpreted; there to use how you’d like. (The specific readings follow.)
Question from “A.P.B.”: A plan and change. Sometimes they feel like enemies; the former’s desire for “success” done in spite of the latter — a feeling like Control(!) is possible, as if.
So, should the plan be change itself — that is, to understand that one is Process?
Oracle reply: Yes, the dream of control is blocking the reality of being involved, and being a part of, many processes.
Here is an outline for behavior:

This week we pulled the Queen of Wands (reversed). There is good and positive energy aimed in your direction, but it is being blocked. Why? If you are doing the blocking, try to really figure out why this is the case and really focus on removing it.
Our first and only hexagram this week is #36, Darkening of the Light. The discussion here points to a difficult time of inner preservation as opposed to outward authority. “In a time of darkness it is essential to be cautious and reserved.” “With this attitude one can overcome even the greatest adversities.” “In social intercourse one should not try to be all–knowing. One should let many things pass, without being duped.” “It furthers one to be persevering.”
Also, though it often makes sense to be positive and light-bearing when encountering dark times and/or people; but not always. In certain periods of darkness “it is essential to be cautious and reserved. One should not needlessly awaken overwhelming enmity by inconsiderate behavior. In such times one ought not to fall in with the practices of others; neither should one drag them censoriously into the light. In social intercourse one should not try to be all–knowing.”
- Something is blocking a positive energy that is trying to get to you. Do everything to try and figure out why.
- Not control, but participation.
- The outside and the inside are somewhat incommensurate, unless you understand them as such.

Here is an outline for behavior:
- Do not get overwhelmed by unfavorable circumstances, rather, be steadfast within and with them.
- Try to understand your talents and your shortcomings (apply the former and discourage the latter), all in a spirit of personal health.
- Keep this process to yourself. Outwardly, do not show your dissatisfaction. You cannot trust other people to understand you (and that they might misuse you). Though, keep an outward attitude of compliance.
- Make perseverance your main mode (not vanquishment of foes or anything like that, just keep after yourself, stay on yourself).
- Do not fall into the behavior patterns of others.
- Do not be a know-it-all in conversation.
- “Let many things pass without being duped.”
